Do breast glands respond like other glands do?

I had a skin tag removed and cauterized under my left breast yesterday at the dermatologist. Last night, I noticed swelling and tenderness in my right breast. Could this be a result of the procedure I had done? I just had a routine mammogram and ultrasound done 2 weeks ago and everything was typical/normal for me.
