Is there really a lack of imagination and creativity in the U.S.?

We still lead the world in published authors but that doesn't have anything to do with imagination or creativity. It is unique works of art that show that. The USA is no worse off than any other place on the globe. Frequently, the so-called imaginative or creative work is merely the undiscovered banal. Uniqueness is a relative term.
