My 18 month old daughter is fighting nap time and bed time?

She wont fall asleep for hours sometimes even tho shes tired, i really dont like the cry it out method. She ends up going to bed around 12 sometimes and not waking up till 10am. we have a bedtime routine of dinner time, clean up toys and then bath and bed. I work nights full time in an er and my husband is home with her not knowing what to do anymore. please help.. thank you in advance
