Anxiety disorder?? or depression?

ok so i posted a question asking for help cuz i think i might be depressed. my friend angie who has depression that it seems i do have a little but that i may have GAD which is apparently Generalized Anxiety Disorder? can anyone tell me about it and give me some symptoms and if i should go to a doctor or not?
