On the people icon i only have one set of numbers which is fine. i know by using a prolonged press on each contact will give you an option of deleting the numbers in 'people' but this does not work for 'phone'

My 18 month old daughter is fighting nap time and bed time?

How to put new door bushings in a Chevy Cavalier?

First remove the door spring then knock the upper pin down and the lower one up until they come out. have a long 2x4 under door propped up by floor jack. roll slightly out until you can reach and change bushings. This is the easiest way because allot of those cars have wiring that goes into door and you would have to take door apart to remove wiring temporarily. try avoiding this. After you move door out change bushings and slide back together and I recommend you put new pins in also. You don't want to do this twice. you will then need a spring compressor to put spring back in. one can be bought at Autozone along with 13mm ratchet wrench. (2 tools you will need for sure) You might find this a better Idea to take to body shop. A pro can do this without scratching paint and a 2005 sounds like you have a nice car

I think I have ADD but my parents wont get me meds because it's bad for you. Are social anxiety meds just as bad for you as ADD meds? i have injured myself three times. first i sprained my ankle riding down a hill on my bike and my foot slipped off the pedal and the pedal made contact with my foot and bam it hurt like a you know, it took 3 weeks to heal. second was when i ran cross country when i was in 9th grade i pulled the left side of my groin muscles while running a race it took 2 weeks to heal. my last injury occurred two months ago i was doing to many situps one day and my lower left side of my abs muscle got pulled. it took 7 weeks to heal cause i still had to run track and that prolonged my recovery and i lost my beautiful 6 pack abs cause of it. so all i want you guys to do is to name your injuries, explain what happened, how long it took you to recover from this injury and how it effected you. thanks!!!

Help! I need a healthy eating routine?

Usually I only have big bowl of cereal with milk every morning, then i just have some juice for lunch, go out to eat with my friends at night (. I have school and work at the same time. I'm a pharmacy technician so it's stressful. I drink water most of the time when i feel hungry, because i'm too tired to eat. I'm 5'3 and weigh 107 lbs, but now only 104. and when I'm busy i just have one meal a day, and i get acid reflux. I usually have it, so I take medicine almost everyday. Anything I can do to save my teeth?

So recently I've noticed holes and parts of my teeth breaking. I generally used to have a pretty strong white smile. But years of smoking, excessive soda drinking and all that jazz apparently is taking its toll. I have slight staining on the top of my teeth(above the root) and little holes forming on a few. I am putting down smoking and slowing down on the soda. (also I do not eat candy). But Money is really tight and I don't know if I can afford a dentist to get fillings. Is their anything I can do to at least prolong the decay till I can get work done?

Dark red marks on foot arch, is it okay?

Well I've been working out alot, on my feet alot, and today I did a little over 3 hours of rebounding (mini trampoline) and when I stopped to take a break after the 3 hours I noticed there were long red marks all along the arch of my foot. I'm wondering if that's bad or if it just means it's irritated. If it's just irritated that's okay I just want to make sure I'm not really damaging my feet or anything. Because I need to do 2 more hours and I usually do 1 hour of jump rope as well and 2 workout DVD routines and some dancing so I just want to make sure my feet are okay and it's not a sign of an injury to come or anything. Also all the workouts I do are with bare feet, I refuse to workout with shoes on unless I'm dancing because they completely throw me off. Sudden fit of nausea and prolonged headache?

So today during second period, we were all standing in a huge circle, like every day. Suddenly I started sweating like crazy, I felt really dizzy and weak and my stomach clenched. I felt and looked like I was going to vomit. This lasted for about 10-25 min, but I thankfully did not throw up. Since then, I have had a MAJOR headache and I passed out when I came home from school. My 3 year old GSD wont eat?

We bought a German Shepherd ***** about 6-7 weeks ago. The previous owner used to leave her food down all day and we realised this was why she was so underweight. We took her to Pets at Home and they put her on Wainwrights which is just brown kibble biscuits. At first she loved it but then after a few weeks hardly touched it. She'd spit it out and leave it. As a result and us not wanting her to lose the weight she's put on we tried mixing fresh tripe with it. Again, she loved it and cleared her bowl several times. However after a bit god bored of the tripe and wouldnt touch it. We then tried wet food mixed and as before, she loved it. We carried this on several times but then reealised she would only eat the wet food. Now she wont touch her food bowl unless there is a full pouch or full can of wet food in there. She will eat the odd biscuit. Yesterday we bought her a different make of food (Bakers Complete as it looks way more appetising) and she loved the first bowl we gave her. She couldn't get enough of it. But this morning i've found when i gave it her at her routine time (1pm) She wouldnt touch it and went to sleep instead. So again, i mixed half a pouch of wet food in and she ate a few biscuits and walked away. So i decided to put the full pouch of food in. She's eaten half of it and left it, so i've now put it away in the cupboard as she's had too long to eat it and if she doesn't eat her dinner within half an hour to an hour we take it away as we are trying to get her into a routine! please help!!!!!!

Diet and exercise advice?

My boyfriend and I want to lose weight but he works as a train conductor and is hardly ever home and as for myself I have a one year old and when I say I don't have time to workout I mean it. I work 8-13 hour days and get one day off. When I get home from work its around 11pm and I'm up for an hour trying to get my daughter in bed and whatnot and I wake up at 8 with her and then by the time she takes a nap I have to get ready for work. It is impossible to workout because she is constantly bored and getting into everything. I tried doing home exercise and as soon as id get into a routine id start working 13 hours every day. As far as food goes after I had her I never ate (don't get me wrong I loved food) but it didn't taste the same and I would forget to eat so my meals would be a couple bites and I was done then I met my boyfriend who made me start eating again and I love him for that because I love food again and I have continued to lose weight but for the past couple months my weight has been up and down. If I eat after I wake up I get sick I literally have to eat 3 hours or later after I wake up and by then its lunch time and I'm normally too busy to eat then if I'm not ill eat something small and then dinner I eat a full meal. Not healthy I know but in all honesty I'm not hungry until dinner time and every 2 hours after that. I weigh 145 lbs id love to lose 10 lbs but most of all I just want my beach body back. My boyfriend has good self control when it comes to food he just wants to go on a diet because he's gained a little too but I need help as to what to do (I know cardio) but diet wise. Thanks! I've tried food changes, probiotics, and he has been on several courses of antibiotics for giardia and parasites--after which he improves and then worsens again. He is one year old and his sister from the same litter has had some of the same symptoms but not nearly as bad. Weight gain with Mirena IUD?

I have only had it once. I did gain about 6-7 lbs which is a lot for me, but its hard to say if it was Mirena-I had been breastfeeding my daughter who had extreme colic and literally could scream from 9p.m. to 5 a.m. some nights plus I was afraid to eat just about anything for fear it would make her gassy/colicky. So I barely ate or slept, until 2 weeks after Mirena was placed and the doctor put her on hypoallergenic formula. She finally stopped screaming 24/7 and I wasn't afraid to eat anymore, wasn't burning calories making milk, plus it was the holidays, so yeah, its hard to say. Now I am back to the weight I was before Mirena, I have had to work for it but yeah I can't necessarily say it is Mirena.

I am on seasonique, is cramping for 2 weeks normal?

I started Seasonique (birth control that gives only 4 periods a year) about 2 1/2 months ago, and even though I was getting cramps last month without a period it only lasted a few days. There is no quick fix you just have to exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet. Cut out junk food from your regular diet, it is still ok as a treat but that means once maybe twice a month definitely not every week. You should also cut out sugary fizzy drinks because they are full of calories and will make you windy anyway. You should eat grains and pulses as part of your diet and try to reduce white bread, pasta and any refined sugar. try googling some healthy recipes and set out a meal plan based on the foods that you enjoy eating.

Need advice about putting cat down...?

Yesterday I found out that my very miserable and sick 12 year old cat has kidney stones, bladder stones, possible kidney failure, possible diabetes. Salicylic acid in acne treatment? Please help?

I bought a facial cleanser at my local drugstore because we went on vacation and I had forgotten to pack my facial products from my normal skin routine. The cleanser is from the brand L'oreal. It's called the 'Go 360 Clean Anti-Breakout Facial Cleanser Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment' I am a 15 year old girl with oily skin and some acne scars, but nothing too serious. After using the cleanser for two nights in a row, nothing had really changed, I felt like it actually helped my acne a lot, and I could definitely see a difference. Throughout the week though, my skin started getting drier each day, and skin soon began peeling around my nose mostly, and my T-zone and areas that were normally dry became extremely dry. I stopped using the cleanser and went back to my normal skin care routine, which is the Proactiv 3 step 30 day program. My skin stopped peeling since then, but today I noticed two dark, brown rough patches on my skin, both on the side of my face. They look like discoloration because they are darker than my skin, and they feel extremely rough and dry, even after using moisturizer. Does anybody know the cause for my skin becoming dry/peeling? What are the cause of my brown patches, and did the salicylic acid have anything to do with it? How can I get rid of these rough patches?

2 Smaller Window Units (2 x 12000 BTUS w/ 10.7 EER) or 1 Larger Unit (1 X 25000 w/ 9.4 EER)?

We are looking at cooling a house we bought a couple of months back that we have been fixing up. It was a foreclosure so ofcourse the heat pump was missing from the house. We will eventually have to shell out the money for a heat pump but want to prolong it until we need heat (which is SC will be beginning of October) to give us a chance to save up for it. I am looking at window units to get us by for the summer. House is 1.5 stories, 1900 sq ft - 400 of which are upstairs and we have an 8000 or 10000 btu air conditioner we bought a year ago that can cool that when we are upstairs. With the 1500 or less sq ft down stairs I am wondering which will be the better options as far as our electric bill goes. I mentioned two different options, two mid size units, or 1 big unit. The pros of the smaller units are they seem energy efficient and can run off 115 volts so i wouldn't have to change anything electrical, also they can give me more control (say i wanted a bedroom to be cooler at night, etc.) However my main concern is my energy bill. Will the larger unit be more energy efficient even though it has a lower EER number because it is running off 220v and everything is coming out of one location? Need someone with more knowledge about this to help. Thanks in advance.

Why does my sweat SMELL so BAD?

So I really want to start working out but since I REEK when I sweat, I kinda don't wanna exercise at all because I sweat very easy. I hate it because my sweat makes it so I can't do ANY exercise! What are some reasons why someone would smell so bad when they sweat and how can I stop it so I can actually get some exercise in my daily routine? Please help me.

Osteochondroma what do I do?

I've been diagnosed with an osteochondra/bone tumor (not to be confused with a spur! It's apparently 2inches long!) on the pad of my heel and several doctors/physical therapists/other dancers have said I should get it removed while one doctor (who is the most specialized I've seen) has said, as long as it's not hurting right in that place and it's not growing (I had a bone scan, but don't know the results yet) I don't need the surgery. The thing is, it doesn't hurt all the time or anything, and I have a suspicion that it's done growing, but when I dance (I do ballet, so it's very demanding on the feet!) it can be more of a problem. Also, I had achilles tendonitis, so I got a bit caught up in the idea that it was related to the osteochondroma, and I realize now that this may have given the doctor the impression that I was mostly complaining about the tendonitis, which he didn't think was related to the bone. I've had physical therapy for my achilles tendonitis since (as per his prescription) and it's definitely gotten better, and I've even noticed that I have less pain around the osteochondroma area from prolonged walking (that's when it hurts other than when I'm dancing), but it's hard to say if the osteochondroma is something I'll be able to deal with going into my professional career this september. So I'm freaking out and I don't know what to do, and I don't know if I should get surgery or not and I'd really like some advice. The most specialized doctor (orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and who's worked with dancers) thinks I can deal with it, and everyone else thinks I need surgery. I'm inclined to believe it will cause problems in the future and therefore I should get surgery, but I really don't know. Time is ticking away and I'm scared; not of surgery but of the aftermath/recovery. Also, it's causing my mom to get really worked up/worried about finances, so I don't want to make her pay for an expensive surgery if I "might not need it" Please, I need advice.

Why do people make such a big deal about calories?

The human body was built for survival. A person wont become "malnourished" after a few days of eating below the "recommended calorie intake". Sure, after a prolonged period with very little food, you will become tired and physically weaker, and depending on what exactly youre eating, you may face a risk of becoming malnourished. But theres nothing wrong with short term periods of fasting or eating small amounts, especially when theyre eating only a few hundred calories below the "norm". A person is only "starving" if their levels of body fat reach a certain percentage. So people need to stop telling others theyre "starving themselves" when they say theyre doing a low calorie diet for a few days. So-called "starvation mode", only occurs after a longer period of time, not if someones doing a 48 hour fast or some fad diet to fit into a wedding dress or something. And fyi, the weight CAN stay off if the person carefully monitors their calorie intake, slowly increasing it afterwards, instead of just stuffing there faces with fried chicken and burgers right after (which is why most people gain the weight back, because they start eating way too much). No one has ever died or become "malnourished" after a short term low calorie diet. Its so annoying seeing people always exaggerate about calories on here.

My Mini Schnauzer has really bad separation anxiety. What more can I do?

I have a 7 month old Mini Schnauzer. He's always had really bad separation anxiety since day one and he's only got slightly better recently. I know I'm to blame as when we first got him, I was at home studying a lot and we never really left him for more than 2 hours max. In those 2 hours, he would howl loudly throughout the entire time (we record him every time we leave) and for that reason, I would try my best not to leave him at all (which obviously hasn't helped)! Now we're at a point where I need to be able to leave him. I have a 4 hour a day job (which I got on purpose so I wouldn't have to leave him for too long). This is what we have tried in order to help his anxiety: aromatherapy diffuser, TV/music, Kong's, putting our coats on/picking up keys then sitting down or taking them off/putting them down again etc (we did this over a few days but didn't seem to help), we've tried him in his crate/out of his crate, we don't make a fuss when we leave or return, we've even watched him on skype while we sit in the car and make distracting noises every time he's about to howl. This is our current routine which seems so minimise his howling: I take him for a run in the fields to wear him out a bit, then get ready for work before siting in the living room, I then exchange his toys for some toys he hasn't played with for a while, put some classical music on, sit with him for a while longer (without fussing with him) then quietly leave. Most of the time he howls so loudly that he loses his voice! I don't know what else I can do, this is ruining my life!!!!

Hardgainer needs help!?

Ok so I have been training for about 6 years now. While the first two were filled with impressive gains, the years following were filled with frustration as I managed to pack on maybe one or two more pounds of muscle PER YEAR. I have tried many routines, as well as eating up to 7 meals a day consisting mainly of grain carbs and lean chicken. I am 5'10 and weigh about 160-165 and am probably around 13% body fat. The problem is, no matter how much or how often i eat and how intensely I train, I am not seeing results like I should. Recently I read about "abbreviated routines" for hardgainers, consisting of maybe only 3 compound exercises per workout performed only twice per week. My initial impression is that this seems shockingly low and that I am capable of much more than this. It is likely that I have been overtraining, but cutting down to that extent seems daunting. So my question is, is such a routine right for my body type and does anyone have experience with abbreviated routines? I will supplement such a routine with around 4,000 calories per day.

What are these white circles with red rings on my calf?

M age is 21 years old. I stand at 5 ft 3" and weigh in at 127 lbs. I exercise regularly and eat healthy. I have no health problems other than maybe poor circulation and am on the higher end of the scale for high blood pressure (150/80). I go tanning maybe once every 2 weeks and have done that on and off since i was 15. Just in the past month I started noticing these odd circles on the back of my left calf. Its like white spots with a red ring around them, they almost look vein like except that they are circular shaped and the all sit in a big cluster of around 30 circular spots/blotches, it covers around half of my calf and just happens right under the back of my knee, never touching near my ankle. I just noticed it happening the tiniest bit on my right one too, hardly at all though. They are there most of the time, sometimes more visible than others. It doesn't matter if im sitting or standing or working out for a prolonged period of time. They are always there. They do not itch or burn or are raised. They have absolutely no affect on me what so ever other than they are unsettling to look at. I have not changed body creams, laundry detergent, gotten new clothes or started taking any new supplements or vitamins. What could this be? Should I worried enough to go in and see a Dr? Does anyone else have this? Will it go away?

Easy to say hard to do. Write her a note and hand it to her at the end of the shift. Tell her everything in the note. Make sure she knows your not a stalker or anything just shy. What ever she feels towards you. Tell her want her friendship above all else Helps when they like like you so be sure before you make a move. Some times we like what we think we will never have. Be sure she is at least interested.

Not really...A child is incapable of raising themselves, let alone looking after themselves. Not all desires should be act upon, desire can be selfish. A society should follow ethics not morals and manners. Manners have nothing to do with common sense and treating people kindly and equally. After a soccer injury the top of my foot hurts?

I have been playing soccer on the weekends just to do something different in my routine. I'm 19 and played soccer through high school. But after the last two games I've come back with pain on the top of my left foot. In 7th grade i suffered a comminuted fracture on my fibula and a tibia fracture from sports but since my last surgery I've had no issues with this leg. But after the first game there was just a little bit of pain on the top of that foot but since last game it's taken a while for it to get back to normal. It hurts most when I walk and put weight on the inside of my foot. I need to know whether this is just something where my doctor would tell me to rest or maybe it's something else that i should see my doctor for. Luckily i don't have a game this week but I really do need to run eventually

Why isn't my son sleeping anymore?

My 21 month old has always been pretty good about his bedtime routine. He could sleep for 12 hours with no problem, even if he went to bed at like 9:30-10. Then, he started waking up at 8am, no matter what, so we worked with it. Nap time was about 1pm, and bed time became 8:30. Now, me and my boyfriend are to the point of sheer exhaustion. He will go to bed around 8:30, now with much difficulty, and will wake up at about 2-2:30 am. He can now crawl out of the playpen he's been sleeping in, and will get in bed with us. My housing situation is not the best. Me, my boyfriend, and my son all share the smallest room in the house, with my little sister and her daughter in the next biggest room, and my mom in the master. But he crawls out of his bed and into ours, and will act like he's going to go back to sleep, but will get up just about every 20 minutes until about 5am, then he's just up. He sometimes takes naps, but not consistently, like he used too. My mom said me and my sisters never really did this because we had more stability and didn't all stay in the same room... I don't know what to do to help, because him leaving the room isn't even an option, until my mom n sister move out in a month or two... HELP!!!

Changing a 15 month old from a crib to a bed?

My 15-month old son has recently had many mid-night waking . We have tried many methods of putting him back to sleep in his own bed but ultimate this is resulting in him joining us in our bed and lots of crappy sleep for us. We let him sleep in our bed for comfort due to illness or teething discomforts but don’t want this habit to take out as a norm. He is also VERY physically mature for his age and extremely mobile. My partner and I are toying with the idea of moving him to a big boy bed. We have that parent’s instinct that he is ready. On the other hand we don’t want to prematurely move him and cause MORE sleepless nights. Of all the reading I have done on the internet, most people are changing at 2 years or after, and occasionally at 18 months. I would love to hear some feedback from people that made this transition earlier than 18 months, how it went, tips, bedtime routines, anything!

Question for weight lifters. serious people only?

Okay, i am 19 years old i weigh about 165 pounds. idk if that matters but oh well. i have been getting into weight lifting in the last few months and i was wondering if this routine ive been doing is good for my arm and shoulder muscles or not. i use 1 10 pound dumbbell and i usually do about 100 to 200 reps a day in each arm. the way i do them is i do 10 reps in each arm of like 10 or 11 different exercises. like forearms and shoulder workouts but mostly biceps and triceps. i also do push ups every once and a while. ive been doing this for about 2 or 3 months and i havent really seen any difference in my arms but they do feel stronger than they ever really have before. should i continue this workout? if anyone has better ways or suggestions please let me know. thanks - ryan e. oh quick reminder i also take days off to rest my arms every few days so please dont post that i should do that because i always rest my body

Are ADD meds really that bad for you?

I think I have ADD but my parents wont get me meds because it's bad for you. I took one of my friend's pills one time and I could focus way more and it felt like my head was clear and I had no anxiety. I also believe I have social anxiety and because of that I always tend to think too much, so maby that is why I can't seem to listen or concentrate. Are social anxiety meds just as bad for you as ADD meds? My parents say it's all bad for you but my outlook on the situation is everybody is going to die sooner or later so why should I live my life in misery (without pills) just so I can have a prolonged life of misery?

Hospital for Iron Deficiency Anemia?

Hi, Im 14 and have been having prolonged periods for nearly 2 years now. They last months from time to time. My mother thinks it's normal because I won't have a period for 3 months then my period will last for months. She said it's because I'm a teen and they'll get normal as I get older. I think she's wrong because this can't be healthy and she won't take me to the doctor. But I believe I've developed anemia. I even have pica where I eat soap and she knows this but still won't take me to the doctor. Today I am feeling horrible and my period has been going on for 3 weeks now. I'm weak, very bad headache, trouble breathing, when I stand up I get dizzy, and I just want it to end. Should I make her take me to the hospital or go to the doctor?

He said he didn't want to date me, why is he acting this way ?

I was seeing this guy. I'm 24 he is 31. He said he didn't want to date me bc I was immature and inexperience in life. He said i was crazy and had head problems to fix before I could be with anyone. Everytime I try to break it off he wouldn't let me. He ended up breaking it off and telling me to delete his number and other hurtful things. We work together and I told him to stay away from me. I've tried food changes, probiotics, and he has been on several courses of antibiotics for giardia and parasites--after which he improves and then worsens again. He is one year old and his sister from the same litter has had some of the same symptoms but not nearly as bad. This is not just a switching-foods-gradually scenario: it is a persistent condition I want to get to the bottom of. Thank you for your advice! Help slimming down & toning?

I'm an 18 year old male, 6'3 that has been running 5 days a week since October. In October I weighed 212, and as of today I weigh 169.4lbs. I'm happy where I'm at with the weight loss, but I would still like to lose a little more, but also tone up, and my routine doesn't seem to be working anymore for me. I run about 2 miles a day, and change from back and bi to chest and tri at the gym- what should I do to shake off about ten more pounds, and start seeing muscle toning results?

I find the name you put up there unique, and actually nice. Most likely the reason for hating the name is because it is so unusual. And I don't think any names are ugly. Any name is nice to me. How do i put my six month old baby on a routine?

It helps to feed at regular times and start your day at the same time (we feed our 6-month old every 4 hours, starting at 7 am with 7 oz). We do an additional small feed at 5:30 pm (3 oz) before his last bottle at 7 pm so he's full before bed. Naps are helpful for a good night's sleep. (We put him down to nap 2 hours after waking, at 9 am, and again at 12 or 12.30. He also takes a short nap at around 4 pm.) We also find that putting him to bed earlier (7 or 7.30 pm) actually helps him sleep better and longer (until 6 or 7 am). When he goes to bed later, surprisingly he wakes up earlier, and needs a longer nap.

So people need to stop telling others theyre "starving themselves" when they say theyre doing a low calorie diet for a few days. So-called "starvation mode", only occurs after a longer period of time, not if someones doing a 48 hour fast or some fad diet to fit into a wedding dress or something. And fyi, the weight CAN stay off if the person carefully monitors their calorie intake, slowly increasing it afterwards, instead of just stuffing there faces with fried chicken and burgers right after (which is why most people gain the weight back, because they start eating way too much). No one has ever died or become "malnourished" after a short term low calorie diet. Its so annoying seeing people always exaggerate about calories on here.

HELP TRYING TO GET PREGNANT?

Me an My boyfriend have been trying for 7-9 months and not getting any results so i've went to three doctors during that 7-9 mo. gap. first one I had diagnosed me with dub (Dysfunctional uterine bleeding) due to hormone imbalance, because i would come on my period and stay on for 3 weeks or more. I honestly thought it was normal because heavy bleeding prolonged bleeding runs in my mothers side of the family. But of course i was wrong, she gave me birth control pills to balance my hormones and she claimed that this DUB shouldn't have been stopping me from getting pregnant,she told me to take the bc for 3 months and to just eat healthy and i'll be fine. I did that but after still no baby and my DUB is still here. The next two doctors said the exact same thing. Now i recently met a new doc who better explained to me what was going on "thank god" she said that I have a high level of testosterone and the fact im overweight is not allowing me to ovulate sadly and she said its also a possibility of PCOS she basically prescribed that I take bc but also explained there's no way to know how long it will take for my hormones to act right. I said i'd do it but while im doing it i want to help my body balance hormones and loose this weight. I'm 5'3 and 230lb, I know it sound like alot but if you'd seen me you wouldn't know thanks to the testosterone i have alot of muscle alot of people say I look 170 or 180, but anywho just please help me somebody can you give me tips on what to do what not to do teas and herd and all that good stuff I'm really aiming to be preggo by late december or early january??????
